The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails.
William Arthur Ward
Finding the perfect coffee maker has been a struggle for us. We have been through a few Keurig. Unfortunately, for us they don’t last long. I am fine with my little French Press, however, my husband likes to have something he can use easily and quickly when he brews coffee to take with him to work. Recently, we decided to try Nespresso. The draw back is the coffee pods have to be ordered. There are lots of different blends and sizes to choose from and it’s not always clear, at least for me, if I’m ordering the ones I want.
Which brings me to my latest coffee making challenge. I mistakenly ordered the wrong size pods. We like a full mug of coffee. What we received appeared thimble sized. I didn’t want to send them back. I was brought up not to be wasteful, so throwing them out wasn’t an option. I was at a Discount Store when I ran across the inexpensive, little, demitasse cups in the photo. We had some larger sized pods my husband could use and I was fine with the little cups. I like hot coffee and the coffee in my mug became cold before I finished it. Now my coffee stays hot.
Life presents lots of problems, not all of them as easy to solve as my coffee conundrum. Having the ability to adjust your sails helps to survive whatever situation you find yourself in.
