Trust and let God worry. – Martin Luther
Last week, I picked up the mail and was surprised to receive the towel, in this photo, from my friend, Barb. It is by the artist, David Arms. She has a sixth sense about where my mood is. Helped, I suppose by reading my past few posts and realizing I’m troubled by the state of our world. I look at the Humming Bird perched on the sage green leaves amid a background of pale yellow with the words, “Trust”and I feel a sense of calm.
After many years of struggling, I do a better job trusting God when it comes to my personal life. He has shown me, many times over, He’s got it. What a gift it is to take a deep breath and know God has it under control. The conundrum is when I work to have faith in issues that concern, not only me, but many others. It becomes complicated. Just reading what I’ve written makes me wonder at my confused thinking. Do I really believe there is anything outside the realm of God? “Calm down”, my mind says. Have trust.
So, when I look at the national news or read the New York Times, I’ll think of my friend, Barb, and remember her gift. She is one of the most together people I know and I can hear her saying to me, “Trust”. It’s good advice in any situation.

It looks right at home in your kitchen and I’m so glad you love it. There’s just something about seeing the word that brings reassurance and a flow of calm. I wish I could take credit for sending it, but I merely wrapped it up and walked it to the postal store. You know who it’s really from. Beautiful post my lovely. Thank you. 💜
